Pros

Worked with Stryker for over 6 years, and you do run across some good personalities, there aren't too many positives.

Cons

- The workplace is very hostile -Expectations are set, but it's unsaid that you need to far exceed them. Then new expectations are set based on previous results. Rinse and repeat, until you work yourself to death or you promise something that the company can't back up and they get rid of you. -While it didn't happen to me personally, I saw several reps have commissions and bonus go unpaid or paid to a different rep because of the whims of management. -Pay isn't competitive and the management does not care -You are a tool for the management, not a person. -Sociopaths run amok in management, so unless you are sociopathic or have some tough skin, you won't survive or move anywhere in the company.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
