Pros

Normal Benefits. Not much to say. Tries to compare with competitors and peers. No true incentive for employees to deliver more because of lack of incentives.

Cons

Exploits people by contracting work and not paying enough. Even though it is contracted, the compensation if not that good. Also contractors are treated like employees. Values are flexible because of the Crowd and hence can sway from one end of the spectrum to the other. No potential for growth. Pigeonholed! They just need robots who will produce reports and work for less pay. Compliant robots who conform to their operational guidance but cannot request any leeway or pay. Micromanagement and Less Pay. Need to bump up those salaries from 5 to 6 figures for some. 6 to 7 for the others. And not 7 to 8 figures for the Peak Hawks.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
