Pros

Commission structure is straight forward. Earning potential used to be extremely high but the company has continued to decrease commission throughout the company each year. Your responsibility is centered around your annual quota, not a quarterly one.

Cons

Not all territories are created equal so investigate the opportunity carefully. They magnify top reps to inspire others to perform the same, despite most territories being cut into smaller opportunities that can never achieve the same commissions. If you're territory is built up, then have been known to cut it up into smaller territories and therefore income since sales positions are 100% commission.There are strong political alliances so be careful who you trust.

Pros

The individual contributors you work with are fantastic people and the products we work on are really interesting and have significant impacts on patient care.

Cons

Sports Medicine has unfortunately changed from a dynamic and collaborative group to one being led by toxic leadership. Rather than working together and trusting team members, they now have an in group and out group. If you’re in the in group, you can say anything you want without being questioned and be automatically trusted even when your track record says otherwise. If you’re in the out group and your message doesn’t align with what the leadership wants to hear, then you are automatically wrong and not to be trusted.
