Pros

The pay is decent, work hours are few. Get to travel to US office

Cons

I worked for Target from their Bangalore office. I had a chance of working with leaders at multiple levels, including the CIO. I had stints both in US and in India. The Indian office is given step childly treatment. They have no clear say. Most of the “leaders” are busy feeding on the leftovers from their US counterparts. Most of the engineers are from services background and seriously lacking in their skills. Any good work done by engineers in Indian office gets stolen by US teams. The company is bloated with flab across all levels. The US offices are filled with mediocre engineers, who are happy learning languages and frameworks at company’s expense. The company has no real chance in fighting competitors and will die sooner, rather than later.

Pros

If you are looking for a job that you’ll be a part of a fun team environment, have the ability to learn all about customer “guest” service, retail operations and sales, as well as merchandising even at entry level great opportunity. for such a large corporation I have been pleasantly surprised by how tight knit teams are. applying was okay, there were multiple steps (videos, assessments) but overall not too bad)., phone call and then video questions before hiring.

Cons

Pay isn’t great, but for the market it’s fair. Moving up involves a much larger increase in responsibilities and workload relative to the pay increase.
