Learning.But this would require that you land up in a project where there are good technologies used.Then you may be able to learn things.But yes learning might have to be self managed as most of the middle level managers are technically zero.
Cons
Lots of downsides. Appraisal is a mere eyewash.Not at all transparent. No recognition given for the efforts you put in. Really bad management. Your immediate middle level managers are white elephants.Technically incompetent people and don't have management skills.They just are after extracting the work from you without giving any recognition or appreciation for your efforts.
