Pros
1) They provide with all necessary infrastructure to conduct R&D. 2) They have tie-up/work along with many premium Indian -abroad institute. 3) The division goal is to publish research article in top conferences and journal or focus on filing patent. Good for people who want to build research profile to go further for higher studies. 4) Challenging problem to solve.
Cons
1) Industrial research is mostly application oriented which should be reliable as overall systemwise. If you stay for long you feel as if you are running behind someone else research contribution with a different application. The work gives alot of pressure and stress. 2) Pay is less than the competitors.
