Pros
The company is growing rapidly in numerous markets, which provides interesting opportunities to watch things established from the ground up. There's a great deal of independence on certain things, mostly stemming from being on fairly small teams.
Cons
The firm has very weak HR processes for US employees. There is little to no support in the initial weeks; I spent my first week of work doing nothing because they didn't have an email address ready for me and my boss wasn't at work. Things don't get much better the longer you are there; communication is minimal and it's challenging to figure out who to talk to about a certain subject. For over two years, I've been asking about career path and opportunities for advancement and no one has been able to answer the questions. My boss is less informed than I am about how things work. They seem to expect an inordinate amount of patience and hard work from their employees without giving them any idea of what the benefits are for that.
