Pros

The only pros at this point for me are the insurance and being able to work remotely.

Cons

Have not received a raise in the 2 years I've been at the company. Even after moving to be close to an office after I was incorrectly informed that it would be a requirement to go back into office. The hours are horrible, and are ever-expanding. At this point I'm making $19/hour as opposed to the $35/hour I was making when I started the project. Every opportunity is given to Indian associates and not U.S. Communication is inconsistent, often inaccurate, and changes on a whim. We've been on a skeleton staffing for months. The few workshops I've tried to attend are changed in the middle of the night to a time I am not awake for. No one will use your pronouns even if they're everywhere. All of two people have cared in the slightest about what I want, and it's been made abundantly clear the company cares more about having a body in a seat than any kind of growth.

Pros

Large client base. Talented people, have "cracked the code" on offshoring development and support.

Cons

For anyone used to working in US-based firms, the culture and politics will be difficult to understand and navigate. Internal policies and systems focus on the offshore delivery center model. Roles in the US do not fit into that mold, and obtaining approvals for simple expenses can require weeks and insanely high approval chains given the size of TCS. I needed approval from a global division head (a CEO direct-report) just to pay for a short training course. Missions of different departments are not clearly defined, so overlap and conflict are common.
