Pros

Only few good leaders are left, until they retire.

Cons

Vanguard has changed their performance management drastically. In one side they are trying to promote that failure is acceptable. On other hand during performance review, they are promoting negative enforcement, managers are asked to look for crew mistake and ding them, just in name of feedback, which consider as gift. So let say a crew did 8 thing good out 10, they will get poorly rated. Therefore, if you are looking for long term career then this not company to work for. All the new and good work is getting out sourced, in name of cost saving. So senior leader can fatten their bonus payout. Poor base salary, bad health benefits,

Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
