Pros

Benefits are good nothing extra ordinary. Most of the employer's are cutting back on it. Good starting place for fresh graduate. If you want to advance within it will take long long time. Flexibility is there only for people starting grade level D and above. (Exampt).

Cons

Flexibility for grade level A,B, & C is horrible. Too many unnecessary monitoring matrix, especially in retail processing. (for example if you are working on a complex client request which may take long time to process then you are being penalized. The processing rate per hour is so outdated. They expect you to do minimum 10 to 15 items per hour regardless of complexity. The Aspect, one of the worst time monitoring tool used in retail processing. if you have to go to restroom, time must be approved before taking a break. Very unfriendly management staff. The morale in this area is probably the lowest of the entire company. Advancement from this area to other areas of Vanguard is ZERO. Unless you know someone at the higher level. Most of the jobs are posted internally but hiring department already know who they are going to hire. (Too much politics.)

Pros

Awesome coworkers for young professionals. Paid licensing for a few months.

Cons

Micromanagement is out of control. Incompetent team leaders who are obsessed with power and metrics. Back to back calls, limited support, and nearly impossible effective communication between departments. Zero time to cultivate culture because you are taking calls every second of the day except for 30min/1hr lunch and two 15 minute breaks. You’re locked into your role for over a year (apprenticeship for around 60 days, then a year after promotion to associate) and your team leaders will not approve internal applications unless you are “eligible”.
