Pros
The benefits are among the greatest in corporate America. 401k is matched 100% up to 6%, and they provide profit sharing. Health and dental for families is very reasonable. Paid holidays and the longer you work there, the more vacation you accrue. There is a lot of different areas within the company, so you can move around for quite a while and gain a wealth of experience.
Cons
The company is bleeding out revenue from the wireline service. A big reason for this is having to continue to support union workers. While some really put in an effort, the bulk that I met (getting paid near or above six figures to answer customer service calls) acted extremely entitled without the work to back it up. The demands with the recent strike were quite ridiculous. Additionally, the company's newest moves toward being a media company has dissolved some of the focus they had that made the wireless side of the business so good. Locally, executive leadership was not engaged nor concerned about their employees. Instead, there was more concern about showing cost savings and making cuts so far that it damaged the integrity of certain functions. Despite some employees being very strong performers, others were promoted that were not a good fit for the job. Very political from that perspective.
