Pros

The pay and benefits were pretty good

Cons

This is probably the worst job I’ve held. Management never did their job and played favoritism. I was consistently lied to about many things as well. Management was never anywhere to be found when customers started to become aggressive. Management told me it was not their job to handle those types of customers even though that is what they are hired to do. Management would lie to customers telling them things would be free in order to push out an extra box(i.e. hum, tablet, watch), then blatantly lie to the customer or put it all on us and not take responsibility for their actions. The entire environment made me feel like i was in high school. I left another cellphone company to work for Verizon and i deeply regret it. Work/life balance was not that great either. I felt like i was always there and was unable to schedule proper appointments that i needed. Store Manager approved time off when i first started then a week before i was to leave told me i couldn’t go and made up excuses. They’d have sales contests and not give you what you’ve won. I won several things and have only received 2 out of the many things i had won

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
