Pros

Coworkers, health insurance, 401k benefits and tuition assistance

Cons

Pay is terrible compared to what this position could of made a couple years back. Quota goes higher as traffic and market gets more and more saturated. Discounts getting removed left and right, started with 50% off all accessories now down to 25% Plan discount is 50% but still more expensive with discount than T mobile and sprint. Fios discount not really because they make you get a fully loaded package. Company adds new metrics weekly and a report for everything. Constantly adding new focuses and making it harder to hit quota and over achieving is impossible. Demand is low but expectations high. This company is really unethical I mean we created a word called slamming which basically means we screwed over a customer to get a bit closer to our quota. If you have any bit of integrity don’t take this job or you will lose it. This gig is for the cold hearted who are capable of adding $30 dollars to peoples bills who are less knowladgable about phones. The name of the game is to take advantage of your customer and screw them real good slam them with jet packs hums and insurance. They make it seem like you can move up to corporate it’s all lies people with degrees and multiple years of sales have been stuck at the retail level for decades seriously decades moving to corporate is impossible it’s like a myth. If you do get a corporate job you’ll be laid off within 4 years trust!

Pros

Compensation is competitive but you will work very hard for it. Culture is excellent and exhibited and practiced from the top down. Benefits are excellent and cost reasonable. 401k match and profit sharing. Lots of training and professional development opportunities. Can advance if you're willing to relocate.

Cons

Company is trying to transform into what it wants to be beyond a wireless carrier (cloud?, security?, telematics?, wholesaler?, etc) and is struggling with a vision, resources, and org structure to make it a reality. Several re-organizations over last few years so job security has frequently been a question. Often delayed response to competitors caused by management's concern that acting would result in not meeting Wall Street expectations. Not the "happiest" place to work because no result is ever good enough and successes aren't celebrated because the focus is always on the next weekly/monthly/quarterly goal.
