Pros

There's no shortage of great people that I've met whilst working there. Eventhough I've gotten promoted to another store, I'm still in contact with most of my co-workers who I worked with at my previous location. Depending on your store's location, the potential exists to make good extra money through their compensation plan; higher volume stores will be goal mines for business. Altogether, I think their banking system is incredibly advanced so it makes the work of the retail banking staff much easier.

Cons

Overall, the company itself has many great things to offer as they are a full service financial institution. However, as they are so new to the NY market there are definite challenges as far as sales are concerned because they're competing with so many other banks that already dominate the marketplace. Also, with some of the recent changes to the compensation plan, getting compensated has a number of technicalities and it can sometimes be challenging to understand the complexities of the plan.

Pros

The culture is wonderful compared to other banks I have worked at. The culture is slowly changing to align with other banks but even with that it is the bank I have enjoyed the most in 20 years in the industry

Cons

Spread out a lot and certain locations are closing or bound to close down depending on the area of bank. To be safe seek a role in one of the larger hubs like Charlotte.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
