Merger has taken it's toll on my group. - Analyst Wells Fargo Employee Review

Pros

While it lasted, my group made large sums of money and grew for decades. In general, Wells is a huge bureaucracy and as long as you find a good niche to fill you can end up staying employed with them for years.

Cons

Lots of inefficiencies. You have to ask for approval to do anything meaningful in most groups. Try and get into a group with management that is "in the club" with the higher ups and you should be fine. None of my advice applies to retail banking jobs. The people who work in this part of the bank are usually removed from any decision making part of the WF behemoth by dozens of levels.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
