Pros

A lot of job opportunuities within the bank. The majority of team members are really nice and fun people to work with. We are allowed to focus on peoples strengths, good managers will spot a persons strengths and find ways to use them to help the team member be successful. The majority of people I work with take pride in what they do. We have a very diverse group of people from all walks of life. It is great to have such a variety, especially learning about differences. It makes work fun and exciting when you have a melting pot. Flexability - most postions allow you to work from home often. That is a huge blessing for those of us who have a long commute.

Cons

Our new senior leader in Wholesale stated in his last meeting we are to do what is in Wells Fargo's best interest. Our old leader ALWAYS promoted to do what is best for our customer. BAD Bad managers are all over. HR never does anything to change this, even when the manager has 2-3 people leaving each year. You think they would get a clue. Our benefits went from great to not so great and more momey out of pocket. There are a lot of people who dont do the "right thing" in fear of retaliation or fear of being the only one who stands up to do the right thing. We promote to hire within the company, word of nouth travels fast. I can apply for the same job as someone else and lack certain skills but if people know me they will go out of their way to hire me instead of a more qualified canidate. It is all about "who you know". Working for a micro manager is hell, so you literally MUST leave the team and everything you know and love becuase this person is ruining your life and work isnt fun any more (yes, this sound very bitter and it was years ago I had to leave a job I LOVED due to a realignment and new manager). HR is no help so don't bother. We had a manager IM'ing people inappropriate stuff, told HR. They never even asked to see print screens (more than one person). It was swept under the rug. So IMO HR is worthless and totally opening WF up for a lawsuit.

Pros

Benefits (but cost creeping up and coverage creeping down each year), Good Morale Both Management and Coworkers, and Honestly a Great Company.

Cons

Cross Selling is the only focus now, firing employees who are great at their job in every area that should matter but if the cross selling results are not meeting the ever ridiculous quota (which continues to rise) than you may not have a job next month. Expectation for customers to say yes to cross selling, leaving you with no real control of your job security. Stress!
