Pros

*The colleagues were very interesting people with well-built backgrounds. *The company is located in central London, which is appealing if you are longing to experience a big-city job. *The company has a good reputation and puts efforts on PR, so working there is definitely an add-on to the CV.

Cons

*There is a great deal of micro-management and presenteeism directly linked to the company's dfficient leadership that actively impacts motivation and productivity in the wrong direction: everyone is forced to be in the office 9-6 every day, and many juniors are "asked to volunteer" for various tasks during bank holidays. *Very high turnover: people keep leaving because of a poor culture. HF is one of those companies that instead of investing in proper HR professionals and having people-first policies, chooses to hide behind interior design, mandatory budget-consuming retreats and food parties for Friday nights.

Pros

The company offers good social events and the building is attractive. The workforce largely consists of friendly, cool people. The pay is pretty good.

Cons

The industry is highly unstable, leading to a stressed company environment. This climate is exacerbated by exceptionally high employee turnover and a noticeable lack of career progression. There's also a culture of glorified (unpaid) overtime and an unspoken pressure to engage in social activities, blurring work-life boundaries. Some of the leadership appears to be primarily driven by personal compensation. Working hours are also very long.

Pros

* Great mission. * Small team, so lots of room to develop and wear different hats. * Founders are very empathetic and conscious of how to create a good culture. * Tasting Tuesdays! * There's a wide range of competencies, always someone around to answer questions about anything.

Cons

* There's inherent uncertainty about exactly how to achieve our goals which can be frustrating. * The benefits are not amazing at this early stage. May seem a bit bare if you're used to more office perks like pool tables and catering.
