    Doesn't Recommend
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Good opportunities (nature of the job) to work on a good range of clients across diverse industries.
    - Very good brand on cv for next job hunting purpose
    - If you lucky you will meet supporrive mentor and manager, most middle and upper management are very self-centred.

    Cons

    - Extreme bad working/ competitive culture, many staffs and managers work late in office to show their commitment and bosses like it.
    - No upward feedback, as a result, some seniors and managers are really rude to juniors and they get away with such behavior.
    - no equal opportunities, partner and manager like top performers, therefore all good opportunities go to them. They use everyone like machine anyway, lots of pressure and expectations, they contact you and expect you to do work at night like this is normal!
    - Bad work and life balance, very low pay for qualified CAs.

    Advice to Management

Unlikely things are going to be changed. People are lining up to get in for the brand and experience. Bosses treat everyone like they are replaceable.

  10. "Doesn't value good employees"

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Good exposure to different industries and companies
    - Good opportunities for internal or client secondments
    - You will learn a lot and fast
    - Friendly open culture
    - If you don't like sitting in one cubicle, some types of work (e.g. audit) allow you to move around between different locations and client offices
    - Regular promotion assessment cycles means that you most likely will be performing new and different work each year, rather than always stagnating in the same work

    Cons

    - Poor work/life balance
    - Poor pay
    - Lots of commuting, if you're working at client locations far from home
    - Inadequate effort to address issues of low performers, which impacts everyone else in the team
    - Difficult to receive development feedback from your superiors. Everyone is so busy that performance management and development becomes an administrative task at the end of the to do list, when it should really be an important part of our career
    - Little to no emphasis on upwards feedback, so the wrong people get promoted

    Advice to Management

Make some real effort to obtain both upwards and downwards feedback to identify your good employees, not the ones who are good at becoming your friends (usual office politics)

Put in some effort to truly value your good employees whilst they're still interested in their jobs, not just when they find new jobs

Address underperformers. By letting them slide and having the good performers carry their load, you are losing your good employees

I have been working at KPMG full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

General pattern of work may be repetitive but different client environments keep things interesting.

    Cons

Low pay, long hours, partners not engaged with teams (although director level and below is good)
