Limited innovation occurs because employees are only allowed to do what the CEO tells them to do, stifling new thinking and speed. The command and control environment has created extremely high employee turnover and poor morale. We have brought on CEO family members onto the C-suite instead of hiring the right talent to forge the future of the company. Improvement ideas that are raised never see leadership support and those employees who speak up too often get the cold shoulder from the CEO. They are fired or decide to leave because they are treated so poorly
