      Black company pretending it’s not

      Pros

      A few instructors on the HR team tried to be helpful, caring and “have your back” but management didn’t really care and was unwilling to change to improve the situation

      Cons

      Dead end job. Conservative old-fashioned Japanese style thinking. Lesson counts were low and the independent contractors were always not getting enough lessons.

      Pros

      Offices spread around Tokyo in cool locations, coworkers are kind and fun, expectations are clear and workload is fair. They sponsored a work visa for part time work which is very rare

      Cons

      The foreigners managing the teachers are abusive. Many are old western men who have been in Japan for a long time and seem to be very unhappy with their lives, and choose to take that out on others. It is not a happy place to work as a result of this. Scheduling is difficult to organize your life around because of timing confirmation. You will need therapy after working here.

      I have personally had a great time working there. Everyone is easy to get along with and the majority of the students I've had are very friendly.

      None that I can think of.
