Pros

I enjoy working at Orange and I have fun. There are good people here that make the days go by quickly. It is quick paced and there is always a fire to put out which I like.

Cons

Pay/vacation time are bad and out of line to what the norm is. HR needs work in general. There is a lot of bossing around that goes on in that department with a condescending tone.

Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoy working at Orange Legal, as one of our core values is to promote a fun working environment! We are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the pay and vacation time that Orange Legal offers. Last year, during our period of rapid growth, we increased the amount of Paid Time Off we offer to employees to make our benefits package more competitive and equal to the area average. We also now offer Paid Time Off in exchange for community volunteer hours. We believe this is a win for local charities and volunteer opportunities as well as for the employee's ability to contribute yet be compensated! These improvements were made as a result of previous feedback given to the company where we addressed several areas of concern, including salary ranges, to ensure continuous growth and satisfaction! In addition, we are sorry to hear that you have had unfavorable experiences with our Human Resources department. As we grow, communication is an area that we are constantly trying to improve. If you ever feel uncomfortable going to Human Resources, know that the Executive Team has an open-door policy, and we are happy to address any of your concerns. Thank you again for your feedback, as it helps make Orange Legal a better place to work! Christa Walton, CEO Orange Legal

Pros

The pay and Sales culture was OK when I joined in 2014 and the company was growing at the time.

Cons

Where to begin? The Sales commission structure was changed so that quality salespeople who performed well were rewarded by making a lot less money. Half of the Sales team either quit or was fired in 2017 when the CEO took over sales. Not one person in the entire company that I am aware of was happy with their compensation. Turnover is high, pay is low and there are no real career opportunities or career growth. HR does nothing to foster career or professional growth and only serves to protect the interests of the company. The HR responses to the reviews on this site all say the same thing and are just words without merit or meaning.

Thank you for your feedback. As a continuously growing company, it is important that Orange Legal maintains its vision and mission to remain agile with a commitment to quality and customer service while fostering growth and development. As company growth is dependent on sales, we continuously look at our sales productivity through results in each territory. This is common in most sales departments, and a practice that makes growing companies successful. We are sorry to hear that you felt that professional growth was not apparent in sales, and were not able to experience the benefits of the new competitive sales compensation plan that took effect this year. To date, the new sales compensation plan has rewarded those who meet or exceed quota and has contributed to overall positive company growth. Additionally, for over three years we have restructured our overall compensation plan to be performance based and continue to work towards rewarding top performers. The feedback we have received from our top performers has been positive, and we have found that we continue to make strides in increasing productivity and efficiency while promoting and rewarding top performers. As to professional growth and development, this continues to be one of our main company initiatives. Last year, we had our first successful supervisory development class graduate, which allowed us to further develop leaders within the organization. This course was developed as we were able to create more leadership opportunities, but wanted to ensure to equip those leaders with the appropriate tools to execute their roles effectively. Additionally, last year there were also several internal promotions and transfers driven by individuals to help their career progression throughout the company. These are only some of many of our continuous initiatives to ensure we are retaining and promoting top talent. Finally, we appreciate your thoughts on Human Resources and the balance that lies with compliance and employee interests. This is a very fine balance for all human resource departments to keep, as ensuring a fair and compliant environment is one of the department’s major functions. Again, thank you for your feedback as this continues to help us align our company culture and ensure we are keeping true to our mission and vision.

Pros

Great place to work for. Family atmosphere and lots of room to grow as long as you work hard.

Cons

High turnover. Many people who are hired have experience unrelated to our industry and therefore only see their position as a "job" and not a "career." Causes some instability in the departments.
