More talkers than walkers

Pros

Slightly competitive salary — if you manage to unlock the full bonus potential. Hybrid working model (2 days in the office), which offers a reasonable flexibility.

Cons

The company has a lot of talkers — especially in mid-to-senior management — who are quick to take credit when things go right and just as quick to point fingers when they don’t. Genuine leadership is rare. There’s a noticeable lack of accountability at the top, and managers often fail to protect their teams from the blame culture that seems to dominate. It’s more about appearances than outcomes. Senior leadership turnover is unusually high, which raises serious concerns about stability and direction. They’re now on the hunt for what would be their third CTO in about three years. As one previous review said: if you’re not part of the “inner circle,” you’re on the outside — and that has consequences. Merit and performance often take a backseat to office politics. Final thoughts: If you’re someone who thrives on politics, self-promotion, and playing the game, you’ll probably do well here. But if you’re a hands-on leader who genuinely cares about building strong teams and driving real business value — you’re better off looking elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration and you will thank yourself later.

Toxic Senior Leaders

Pros

International environment with exposure to multiple markets. Some great colleagues at the individual level. Potential for impact if you’re in the right place at the right time.

Cons

Cons: Leadership culture is highly controlling and lacks transparency. Decisions are often made behind closed doors with little to no explanation. Micromanagement is the norm, not the exception. Feedback is rarely welcomed unless it's positive. Constructive criticism tends to be taken personally by higher-ups. There’s a strong sense of favoritism and inner circles — if you're not in, you're out. Mental wellbeing doesn't seem to be a real priority, despite the talk. Good people leave quickly, and it’s often brushed off or spun as a positive.

Pros

Lots of lovely people outside management P&C trying hard to build a good culture

Cons

Despite talking a lot about culture the company has a toxic management culture where anyone who disagrees with certain managers is sidelined or removed from the company resulting in a massive turnover of leads. The company is driven by a profit over everything model ignoring any other issues. From a technology standpoint this encourages and endorses the cutting of corners and ignoring best practice with no regard for the safety of it's customers with it's mantra of "Get It Done".

Pepperstone Group Response

Hi there, Thank you for your feedback, any sorry to hear of your negative experience. At Pepperstone we're driven by many important things; our vision to create a better way to trade; our clients; our people, and yes revenue/profit is also up there. During this period of our digital transformation there's certainly a lot of work to do in our technology teams in particular. We have and will continue to face challenges and tough decisions. If we're not making the right decisions and this isn't being heard, we welcome a further confidential conversation with the P&C team if you'd be open to it. Whilst 'Get It Done' is one of our company values, so is 'Exceptional Value for Clients'. Kind regards,
