Pros
The view is nice sometimes.
Cons
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is probably the most disorganized & unprofessionally run multi million dollar company I have ever worked for. There are a laundry list of operational issues that make this one of the most uncomfortable workplaces I have ever worked at. -the uniforms are VERY uncomfortable, and NOT size inclusive. -Don’t bother with their “laundry service” you might not get your clothes back. -employees share lockers (daily) 2 people per 1 locker! -absolutely no privacy in what they call “changing rooms” -Unfinished, small break room. That is packed with all 5 departments within SUMMIT at any given hour. HUGE COVID HAZARD!!! -The ONLY restroom is on the 91st floor and a majority of the employees congregate on the first (basement) level!!! LIKE WHAT?! -Severely understaffed! There’s reason behind their god awful turnover rate. to name a few. as for management… there is none. and directors lead blindly with no direction. you are consistently met with the run around, excuses, and no accountability whatsoever. They love to throw around “well we’re new, please be patient, we’re working on it…” it’s been eight months. EIGHT. no amount of mental health days could help you recover from the regular stress this job will bring you. You can make the same hourly rate at literally ANY other place and avoid the massive headache it is to work there. and as for SUMMIT. the bare minimum is being met and you charge a premium price of $100 all in. There’s plenty of room in the budget for lavish parties, music videos, and private events but not a single dime is re-invested in the care and hospitality of their DEDICATED, HARD WORKING EMPLOYEES. do not get trapped.
