      Great Small Company

      Pros

      As a consultant, the work is always changing and different. We get the feeling that we really do make a difference for our clients. The work ethic is highly professional, and talented, knowlegable people are hired and retained. It's nice to come to work in a friendly, supportive environment. The owners know a ton but don't take themselves too seriously. This allows everyone to learn a lot, if they are up for it.

      Cons

      Can be hectic at times, but that's true of all good jobs. Traffic can be brutal (but we sometimes work from home). Otherwise no cons.

      My responsibilities included managing recruitment strategy, employee engagement initiatives, performance tracking and HR policy execution. I was trusted with decision-making responsibilities which helped me build leadership confidence.

      Cons

      During organizational growth or restructuring phases, the responsibility load increased significantly and required extended working hours.
