Pros

There are no pros to working at Welcomm. Anyone still there should consider resigning as fast as possible. Average employee life...6 months.

Cons

There are so many - awful salaries - dreadful commissions packages- appalling management who are in it for themselves- the turnover of staff is huge ...I have never seen such a bad management structure in my life...the company will be finished soon...will make a huge amount of ex employees very very happy. Management spend all their time watching where their employees drive to on tracking tech. There are some great mobile companies out there...this lot are low life.

Hi and thank you for your comments. This review says that you were a Business Account Manager. The last person to leave this team did so in October 2017, so it’s difficult to place when you might have worked for us. First and maybe foremost, we need to confirm that the Company is not being sold and this could not be further from our plans. Out of 64 employees, 8 have been employed for 10-18 years, 10 have been employed for 3+ years and 17 have been employed for 1-2 years. Following our recent restructure we have employed a number of new people. In general our unplanned attrition rate has been very low over the last 12 months and we have seen people leave to go into different industries, some ending of placements, some for family reasons and some to be nearer to home. There have been a couple of instances whereby the fit a new employee has not been quite right for either them or the business as we, like other companies don’t get it right every time, so we have had to exit a very small number of employees in those circumstances, but we believe that we have done this with all due respect and care. We carry out exit interviews so we know why people are leaving our business and it does not appear to be for any of the reasons that you have listed in your review, so we are left a little bit in the dark without further specifics. Our management structure was changed (and I think this is likely to have been after you left) to ensure that we have the right managers in each area and at the right level to support our teams better. All Managers are embarking on a full programme of HR based skills training. Our management team (many of whom have joined in the last 12 months following the restructure) are embracing this and putting it into practice. We have introduced and are introducing salary accreditation levels to roles to allow staff the opportunity to have salary increases based on their upskilling and increased ability. These have been received very well so far. We do operate a car tracking system on our Company cars, predominantly to ease the recording of business mileage and for safety reasons but we do occasionally have to see and check where an employee is and will use the technology we have to track this. Do take a look at our website to see some of the community events that we have been involved in. You will also see that we have been awarded with O2’s Direct Partner of the year and we believe that this is due to the dedication and hard work of our teams. We have been celebrating this success with O2 this week. We are so very sorry that you feel the way you do about our Company which we are very proud to be a part of. We trust that wherever your career path has taken you, you will not feel this way about any other future business you work for.

Pros

The staff that work there are really nice that is the only Pro

Cons

The Target's are high, you have to hit a minimum of £9k a month and any GP above that figure you start to earn commission and they are looking to increase this to £12k so you will never any real money, if you do you have to work all the hours that gods sends, evening and weekends, they want over 100K a year before you earn any commission on a £30k Basic, they only give you 50% of the GP towards your target. no real training on the CRM and make a lot of promises that care about the staff and they charge 19p a mile on all personal mileage on company cars, so they are making at least 7p per mile on every staff member using a company car, so they want you to earn them loads of money for the director's but not pass that on to their staff. no wonder the owner of the Business Chris Stanton is driving a brand new Lambo 4x4, the staff have paid for that 10 time over, very interesting character see, check him out on google loves his staff not vindictive at all !!!!

Thank you for leaving this review and I am sorry to hear you feel the way you do about our company. I have been the CEO of the business for the past three years and there have been no events outside of normal business as usual with any of my Sales Managers. Your comments are very similar to ones that have been previously posted so we would very much like you to get in touch so that we can understand why they continue to be written, as this is out of kilter with the other reviews that have been left for us in relation to the current situation and status of the business. This does cause me concern and I’d very much like to chat to you.
