I have been working at Woolworths Group part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great people to work with.
You are compensated very well for your time.
Work is easy to get the hang of and is not too difficult.
Hours are flexible and good for university students.
Possibility of getting trained accross different areas of the store.
Work hard and you can move into management fairly easily.

    Cons

Hours are bad. Nightfill always work saturday nights (at least you finish at 9pm).
You will likely get many small shifts, such as five 3 hour shifts, which can be frustrating because when it adds up its not really that much.
Be prepared to get called in early almost every shift you have at the last minute (this is good if you want hours but means you feel bad if you have organised something to do already)
Even after working there for so long with full availability, I have only been rostered on 3 shifts a week. Sure I get called in, but it would be nice to have some "set in stone" shifts instead of waiting around to be called in all the time.
    Management have unrealistic goals.
I know all my managers will stay back late many nights (unpaid) to meet the "standards" set upon them which are usually not achievable in the time we have been set.

    Advice to Management

You need to be more realistic with your goals. Some are downright impossible to achieve which causes unnecessary stress on everyone.
