Recently, the Preserve team participated in San Francisco's Cycle for Survival, one of many cycling events across the country that raises funds for the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. 100% of the proceeds directly support the fight to cure rare cancers. "It’s been an honor to take part in this event for several years, and our team at Preserve raised over $4,800," said Preserve at Marin’s Community Manager. "This year alone, Cycle for Survival has raised an incredible $23 million for rare cancer research." A huge thank you to the Preserve at Marin team for their dedication and sweat equity—starting the year off right by logging AIR Gives hours for such an important cause. Together, we move closer to a world without rare cancers. 💪💙

After retiring last year to focus on his nonprofit, Carballo International, Fabricio has been a shining example of how growth and opportunity can change lives. With the support of AIR’s culture, community, and resources—like our scholarship and citizenship programs—Fabricio has not only excelled professionally but has also cultivated a deep sense of gratitude for the experiences he’s had and the people he’s met along the way. Now, Carballo International is bringing wellness, nutrition, medicine, and sports programs to his local community. His vision is to help others in Oaxaca live healthier and more fulfilling lives. As Fabricio says, "I am deeply grateful for the opportunities that my friends at AIR Communities gave me to grow personally and professionally. AIR Communities is thrilled to introduce Patrick Whalen as our new Vice President of Construction and Service - East! Pat will oversee all construction work throughout the East and manage the Directors of Service and Construction in the region. Our VP of National Construction and Service mentions, "There's a lot of involvement with the service teams, and Pat is already making a big impact." With 12 years of experience at PS Business Parks and Link Logistics, Pat brings a wealth of knowledge to AIR. He began his career in leasing, transitioned to construction and development, and earned his Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University. Pat has successfully managed capital and construction teams across the nation. For his part, Pat has shared, "There is an obvious and contagious energy and excitement that exudes from everyone I have met from AIR Communities thus far, and that is very hard to find. We’re excited to share a new dining experience that is already making waves at Park Towne Place in Philadelphia! 🎉 Avana, an upscale comfort food restaurant by local restaurateur Felicia Wilson, has officially opened its doors in the North tower – and it’s quickly becoming a favorite among residents. Not only do Park Towne residents now have a top-notch dining option right on their doorstep, but starting in May, Avana will also offer poolside service as an exclusive perk for residents. Talk about luxury living! 🏊♀️🍴 The General Manager at Park Towne Place has shared, “We’re thrilled to have Avana as a new addition to our community. It’s a great step forward in building a stronger sense of community here in Philadelphia and on the Parkway.” A big thank you to the Park Towne Place team and everyone involved in bringing this fantastic amenity to life! Recently, our AQS team, along with the incredible team at The Elm in Bethesda, completed a remarkable makeover of the building’s lobby—transforming it into a vibrant, functional space that residents are loving. We converted older offices into a stylish resident lounge with a dedicated co-working space. Plus, we added more package lockers, complete with sleek countertops, to meet the growing demand. These upgrades not only elevate the space but also create a more convenient and modern living environment. As our Senior Director of Construction and Service shared: "Residents are very happy with the renovation." And we couldn't be more thrilled with the results! A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this project—your hard work and dedication are truly reflected in this stunning transformation.
