The interview process started with one phone interview. Then, I had to do two panel interviews with different teams at the location I would be working at. Overall, the interview process was straightforward, the HR team was relatively responsive. No complaints about the interview process.

Question 1
What was one decision you made that you ended up regretting?
I applied online. I interviewed at Emerson in Oct 2020
Interview
Started the process with a general phone interview discussing a brief overview of what the job is. I asked some questions but the interviewer didn't know anything about the position and just told me to read the job description.
The next round was an interview with a retired engineer that helped with hiring because of demand with COVID. This was more specific but still couldn't get a great idea of my day-to-day.
The next round was an interview with a current engineering manager. This one was better and I could get a better idea of what I would do on a normal day.
Lastly, there was a virtual super day. I had three 2-on-1 video interviews and then a phone interview with the hiring manager.
Overall, the interviews were easy and they were all STAR questions. I found it strange that there were no technical questions for a technical role.
After the final interview, the hiring manager told me they would let me know their decision in 1-2 weeks. I checked back after 3 weeks of not hearing anything and the hiring manager said they would send me a timeline within a week. Never ended up hearing back. Was really put off by not ever hearing back after taking a day off of work to interview and having 4 separate days of interviews.
