I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at Microsoft in Jan 2012
Interview
Applied online after meeting a recruiter at my school. Had a very informal behavioral phone interview with a lady in HR. Was invited down to Charlotte, NC for the weekend to meet other candidates and employees. After a night of dinner on them, it was about a 3 hour long process with 4 directors/managers that was a good mix of behavioral, experience and technical skills.
