I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Microsoft in Oct 2023
Interview
I am quite disappointed to say that the whole process was a nightmare for me. I was first contacted by a recruiter regarding the job if I would be interested. I then took the online test which was quite easy and the recruiter contacted me after a whole month even though he said he would contact me within a week maximum ( I even messaged him and no response ) and he was quite pleased with my results and proceeded with the interview process. In a week I was already scheduled to take the 4 interviews which for me was a little bit tiring because they took place in the afternoon from 6 PM to 10 PM. After this, I was again told I would be contacted within a week for the interviews feedback. I was contacted about this about a month later again and even though I have got a positive feedback, they told me they had no openings for me but they would get back to me at the beginning of the new year. They did not, I again contacted them to check and it has been 2 weeks and still not an answer. I am a little confused as why I was told in the first place that they have thousands of openings for every level and after the interviews suddenly they don't have openings. This whole process was a joke I believe.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The interviews question were not hard, I don't remember them very well, but mostly SDA, OOP questions. As long as you show them you are a team player, ask for clarification and explain your process, it should be ok.

The assessment consisted of two LeetCode-medium-level coding questions to be completed within 75 minutes.
Straightforward technical loop overall, with strong interviewers at every stage. I genuinely enjoyed the in-depth conversations around technical challenges and algorithmic problem-solving — the entire process felt well-structured and genuinely engaging.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Microsoft (Bangalore Rural) in June 2026

The interview was hard, even as a fresher the dsa they asked was hard category after I checked on leetcode. Though I couldn't solve it. Some of the other people who interviewed were asked easy - medium dsa
