I applied in-person. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Dec 2009
Interview
I was referred to the job opportunity by a friend, who gave me the contact details of the Recruiter in the company's HR team. I received an email response within one week of sending my CV to the HR team. The first interview was with the HR team, who wanted some basic information about my salary expectations and availability for the job. Thereafter, I had three rounds of 1:1 interviews - first with other members of the team in India, then with the team manager, and finally with the Country Recruitment Head. The first interview was friendly and almost informal, with the team members explaining how the department functioned and what the expectations were. The interview with the team manager was more formal and technical, where he asked several subject-matter related questions. He also wanted to examine my response to a high-pressure scenario, which I was told was quite the norm in this role. The Country Recruitment Head was interested in assessing my commitment to ethical practices, commitment to the company and the role, and other personality traits.
Thereafter, I received a link and password to complete an online personality assessment test, from the HR team. Having successfully passed through all this, I was made an offer in writing and provided an opportunity to ask questions and negotiate. In the end, the final offer letter was rolled out and I was informed of my joining date.

Question 1
The team manager wanted me to describe a situation I had encountered in my workplace, where I was put under pressure, both in terms of time and expected response, and how I had responded to that pressure while not losing sight of the policies which I had to protect and execute.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at SAP
Interview
