      Developer - TIP BIT Interview

      17 Nov 2012
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Bengaluru
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SAP (Bengaluru) in Nov 2012

      Interview

9 am was the time allotted but the HR turned up at 10 am. The process started at 11 am, I was called in at 11 30 am. I had a telephonic a week ago and they confirmed the next round after the next week. It was a face to face round, interviewer was very soft spoken, but highly skilled professional. Interview lasted about one and a half hours. Filled with Core java then later with SQL and PLSQL, hardly 2 questions in HTML5 and JS. He touched every topic possible in Core java, expecting the basics to be solid. I can't remember any question which went unanswered or wrongly answered from my side. I was asked to write code for a simple JDBC connection, SQL queries, Triggers, Arraylist progs etc. Wait for the best part.. After 1 and half hours, the interviewer appreciated my knowledge on Core java and J2EE for 2 years experience. He started explaining the role they are going to offer. Wait for it .. I was feeling happy minute by minute. Finally he asked me to wait till the HR contacts me. HR asked me to come back after having lunch. On coming back I was asked to meet the Manager, wait for it .. Manager said, we didn't find your profile suitable for the job description as you have very good Java skills for your experience but we need HTML5 and JS experts. Applause, I was asked just 2 questions in JS and HTML5 to which I answered well. I did not understand the whole process of rejecting candidates. I was stunned as I was very sure of clearing it. LUCK does matter !!!
