I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Telstra (Bengaluru) in May 2021
Interview
The interview was on the easier side. Simple react & nodeJs question which anybody with development knowledge can answer.
I qualified for the interview & the HR negotiated the salary with me. After 2-3 rounds of discussion, we settled on a given number.
In the meantime, the background verification process was also started. They took all my personal information. I used to get constant reminders to do that as well.
I rejected 2-3 other offers because I had made my mind to join Telstra. I only had verbal confirmation regarding the CTC and offer.
The HR constantly was in touch with me & told me only one approval is pending from the Australian team. I waited for more than a month, after lots of follow-up emails, I came to know that my candidate is closed. The reason stated was the budget.
We had settled for only 10-15% more which they initially were offering.
I won't recommend anybody to trust their HRs and waste their time & energy.
Do not go for the Brand name, it a totally unprofessional company.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Telstra (Melbourne) in July 2025
Interview
1. Online mcq based test which contains Java, Spring boot, AWS, REactjs questions, one coding challenge
2. Technical interview - multithreading, caching, projects that you worked on, data structures, annotations, how does spring boot work internally
I applied through other source. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Telstra (Bengaluru)
Interview
Not checking the approach or not checking logical thinking. It is 2 rounds of end to end coding excercise. First round is fine but second one is in editor with no api access or no copy/paste.
