Your role
Work with a team of analysts using data to help the department understand its clients’ needs and service delivery performance.
This is a great opportunity to be involved in undertaking targeted analysis, developing new metrics and interactive reporting tools to help improve DCJ its services.

What you’ll do
Help drive departmental decisions with meaningful data analysis and insights. Work in a team to provide evidence to inform policy and operational practice that directly supports the people of NSW.
Undertake and lead analysis, interpretation, and reporting on data from external and internal data sets to inform service delivery and reform.
Design, develop and implement performance measures, tools and governance processes to improve business systems/processes and workflows, and to enhance organisational capability in analysing and understanding DCJ performance.
Provide specialist advice and recommendations to the Manager in support of performance monitoring and reporting governance processes for DCJ to improve the efficiency and consistency of performance reporting.

The Senior Analyst requires the following in addition to role description capabilities:
Advanced skills and proven experience in using either: R Studio/R (preferred), Python or similar, for data analysis.
Proven experience in drawing insights through data and data analysis and ability to present findings to non-technical audiences
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
