VK Logic is currently seeking an Electrical Draftsperson/Designer. This role will support the design and layout of electrical installations and automated plant and equipment, and prepare electrical drawings, plans and diagrams. A trainee would be considered for the position. We will offer the right candidate:

Responsibilities and duties include:

• Design 2D electrical drawings for automated plant and equipment.
• Produce ‘as built’ drawings from provided mark-ups of equipment installations and field wiring.
• Site verification of drawings as required.
• Utilising safe-for-work processes and encouraging safety improvements.

To be successful in the position you have the following skills and attributes:

• Electrical experience in automated industry: Licenced Electrical Trade, Associate Degree (Diploma) in Electrical Engineering or 5 years relevant industry experience.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong teamwork skills with an ability to work successfully with the electrical and automation teams.
• Flexible attitude and sound work ethic
• Ability to achieve results and work within specific time frames.
• High attention to detail with an ability to work autonomously.
• A strong commitment to WHS
• A current Australian Driver’s Licence
• Compliance with Covid health requirements, including vaccination and testing as deemed necessary.

The following skills are preferable but not required for a trainee position:

• Experience as an Electrical Draftsperson or Designer
• Proficient with 2D drawing/drafting.
• Experience in producing detailed drawings by interpreting design requirements from the scope of work or functional descriptions, particularly for heavy industry within the process plant.
• AutoCAD experience with the ability to utilise common Microsoft Office Suite of Programs
• Demonstrated understanding of factory automation systems including PLCs, VSDs, Machine Safety, SCADA, HMIs and networking
