1. High expectation but low pay
- company demands high performance yet the pay doesn't match the expectations and the pressure/stress they put their employees.
- a billion dollar company that only cares about their image/performance but doesn't care about their employees.
- Principles in Action doesn't mean any thing no one really cares within the company their only drivers are top performance yet they don't do anything to stir or reward employees.
2. Benefits not comparable to most companies as big as Antech.
- 401k match is lower than avg.
- sick leave is 5 days a year and you can't even carry over sick leave so if you get sick with a flu and use your leave you will then be endangered to be written up because of attendance. It may not look like it from high level overview but this speaks highly how much they look at their employees. Imagine working hard and being pushed to peform, getting sick & then being written up for it. While some employees in the company have unlimited PTO, regular employees only have 5 days a year for sick leave and can't even carry over any left over. So You cannot carry over benefit that you EARNED but if you get sick and use it you will get written up yet they expect you to PERFORM all the time.
3. Pay
- Low pay (sure there are differential but you only get base pay for PTO and sick so your pay is significantly less when you don't work).
- they don't like to pay overtime. So if there is large volume on Monday and less volume on another day they will always make sure to balance it out to 40 hrs or even less. It doesn't matter if you moved your personal schedule around to accommodate the need for OT that day (got a sitter or moved another appt) they just simply don't care about their employees time, commitment & effort to the company. This is so sad because no one stays over their schedule to get paid the same if someone commits to work over what is scheduled is because they have a need and working OT affects work life balance, don't just disregard your employees and don't just comps the hours pay them what is right.
- if you work holiday they forget to pay you holiday premium pay. This happened on a recent holiday, New Year's Day most employees were on holiday but there were a few that came in so that others can stay home so those employees didn't celebrate their holiday and the company pays them by not calculating their pay right and shorting their employees. To top it all off Payroll caught the error and said they will make the correction on a specific date the specific date came and passed by and still no correction pay made and payroll just says -it will be paid later. Again company has high expectations to their employees yet fails to meet the standard regulations for their employees. I guess employees can just go tell their bills and creditors - we will pay later since our employer shorted our pay check. Unacceptable and I believe illegal practice.
4. Leaders are horrible
- I have not even heard one pleasant greeting or even email from a leader yet we sure would get notifications of exams, surveys, audits, mistakes, low performance, tours etc so we have to make sure everything is clean and neat and that we're performing excellent. If you look at all those things they highlight they are all things that would make the company look good because that's their goal to look good but don't really care about their employees. Morale is down, people are unhappy, mgmt don't even respond to employees when being addressed because employees are beneath them. They can visit the lab for tours yet they can't talk or say hi to employees?
5 favoritism
- time and time again we hear about favoritism. That person is highly favored so don't mess with them or don't fail them etc etc. favoritism is a form of discrimination just unacceptable.
