Pros
People are helpful, when you ask for help. Will throw you into the mix immediately so you can start gaining experience quickly. Prestigious client base. Nice office in San Francisco.
Cons
Consulting, so people is their business. Projects might be short-lived and it is stressful finding more work, particularly in a economic downturn. You won't know the client until you start. Hard to plan your commute/life around that. I faced a 2 hour plus commute in the bay area driving to my client site. Can be difficult to find work/life balance as a result. Hours can be all over the place, depending on your project. Often dealing with offshore teams in India, Philippines so meetings can be late night/early am. Your needs are second to the clients.
