Pros
1. Better work/life balance than other firms (so I've heard) 2. HUGE amount of internal resources to learn, train, etc. - only challenge is finding the resources 3. If successful in navigating the org, you can work on exactly the things you want (chart your own path) 4. Lots and lots of benefits and perks; health insurance options are strong 5. Global team: Fun to work and collaborate with colleagues around the world. Overall, the people are nice and caring and fun to work with 6. Compensation: Generally strong pay
Cons
1. HUGE. Very difficult to find your place, especially if you don't have a guide 2. The work. At the end of the day, your work is contingent upon leadership or client receptiveness. And there is no guarantee it goes anywhere beyond them. Hard to work extremely hard to have your work product never be looked at or used. 3. Long hours. Just because W/L balance is better does not mean it's perfect. 4. Bureaucratic: It's the nature of a company with 700,000+ employees worldwide 5. Finding work / navigating the company: If you don't find the right people, you can easily get lost and never work on what you want. It can be very hard finding any purpose in the work without people to help guide.
