Pros
Good work life balance especially for those who want to raise a family. Used to be a very friendly place to work for with great people before 2009. Provide flexibility to work from home as the company is consolidating real estate. If you are the type of person who like to be in the same company for 20 years, this is the right place. Employees are encouraged to move around in order to learn the business.
Cons
However, the downturn seems changed many aspects of the firm. Peer competition becomes very fierce especially during year end review process, which is very political and subjective. The pay is on the lower scale in the NYC metro area.
