Pros

I think I am not alone in this, but the people are by far the best part of this role. I stuck around because I truly enjoy the presence of the people around me. I guess you can give some credit to their hiring process in finding the good people, but there is only so much credit upper management can take for this right? Onto the cons...

Cons

Compensation stagnation, role ceilings where you can no longer grow (even if your manager and your manager's manager tries to champion for you lol), upper management just brushes things aside. Ironically, there are now a lot of awful people climbing the ranks. Way to go to ruin that *one* pro the company has right?

Thank you for sharing this so honestly. I’m really glad to hear that the people around you have meant so much to you — that kind of connection matters, and I’m grateful that’s been part of your experience. The collaboration, expertise, and relationships built here matter, and they remain central to the work we do for clients I’m also sorry to hear that other parts of your experience have felt frustrating and disappointing. Feeling stuck, unheard, or discouraged about growth and leadership is hard, and I appreciate you saying it plainly. Since this appears to be from a current employee, I’d truly welcome the chance to connect and hear more directly from you. If you’re open to it, please feel free to reach out to me. Pros

Forrester is a truly rewarding place to work. I feel like I make a meaningful difference every day, both for our clients and within the organization. The colleagues here are exceptional. They are smart, collaborative, and genuinely supportive. I’m constantly learning from a talented group of people who care deeply about the quality of their work and the impact it has. The culture encourages thoughtful problem-solving, professional growth, and doing work that matters.

Cons

The most challenging aspect right now is the current business performance, which can create uncertainty and added pressure across teams. At times, this environment can impact workloads, decision-making speed, and overall predictability.

Thank you for your many years of contribution to Forrester ! I’m really glad to hear how strongly you feel about your colleagues and the impact of the work. It's wonderful to see the combination of thoughtful problem-solving, collaboration, and meaningful outcomes reflected in your experience. You’re also right to call out the challenges of the current business environment. Periods of change and performance pressure can create uncertainty, and I know that can impact workload, pace, and predictability. I am confident we are on the right path towards growth this year and it wouldnt have been possible without great colleagues like you. Thank you again for your candid feedback, it means a great deal coming from someone with such deep experience at Forrester. Jobina Gonsalves Chief People Officer
