This is for Infosys consulting. Actual consultants doing the work are some of the best. Culture is pretty good as everyone is open to help as there is no structure internally. Some good projects. Can be set up for years of you are lucky.
Cons
As above this is for Infosys consulting. Basic stuff out of the way first: Systems are crap, timesheets and expenses are barely working and from decades ago, your laptop will probably be ancient, and phone is pot luck. It's embarrassing that clients have better kit to be honest. Office is rubbish, and benefits nonexistent. As said before no central structure, no communities, no organisation, systems antiquated, training available occasionally but not a lot. Expenses are subpar. Major issues: Senior leadership: Spoiler there isn't any. In the time I have been there has been promise after promise to fix systems. They don't because it does not affect US, so who cares. CEO is one of the least interesting and inspiring men you will meet whose plan is hyper growth, selling more stuff that people already want but for inflated margins and worth fewer staff. Is trying to replicate internal strategy from his time Cognizant, which after two years lead to global practices. Why this took two years and not an afternoon is beyond science. Before covid he was mainly going to tennis, post covid he is telling us about the books he has read at which one of his many homes. Also does not understand that as a multinational he should not be promoting his nation's military holidays across the world just because he was in it. The lower partners are just as empty, nothing has been improved, no real direction and a complete disassociation from reality. UK partner is Ex private equity and has been out of actually delivering for so long he has no idea about practical considerations. Just more hyper growth nonsense. Renumeration: if you are lucky you can get a decent salary going in, i.e. you don't need a job. Afterwards you will barely get rewarded ever again. Leads to situations where top performers are paid significantly lower than alsorans even if they are higher position. This stems from need to get in new people but not take care of old, speaking of which everyone is still waiting on promotions that have been talked about now for 7 months, all their competitors have done so by now and are actively poaching. All anyone gets from the empty suits that are the partners is we are pushing really hard. Unfortunately for them every announcement they make is just 3-week-old news from Infosys proper which you can find online. Again, showing the total vacuum that is the leadership. Leadership will protect bullies and unprofessional behaviour if you are selling. Because they cannot. Delivery: No investment in the teams or architecture, constantly scrabbling to source people, have been told to never go on bench if you can avoid it, worked like a dog and the yelled at for not delivering cash flow despite it being partners failure to sell, whether due to poor quality sales, lack of charisma or capabilities.
