Pros

Working with Good Teams is the only Pro

Cons

Horrible Salary and Appraisal. Joined Infosys in 2017 with 7 years prior experience and worked for 3.6 years. Salary appraisal in 3.6 years was zero even though I got an Star Performer Award. No hikes and Promotions After putting in my resignation, manager offered me a short time on-site opportunity shamelessly. Did not continue. Stuck on to my resignation. End of Story Part 1 Now comes Part 2 After joining another company with a 14 LPA package, Infosys called me back on Dec 2021....8 months after quitting. After prolonged calls and repeatedly uploading my documents, interview was set up and cleared 2 tech interview rounds. Than comes the biggest joke. After about a month, HR calls and offered me 15 LPA package, 1 LPA more than what I am currently getting. Even bigger joke, a colleague of mine from the current organization got an offer too from Infosys. She is getting 8 LPA and the offer she got is 16 LPA. Cannot get more disgusting than this how this so called big Indian company can treat a former employee like this. My advice is, do join Infosys if you would like to get treated as their slaves

Good learning opportunities – Access to internal learning platforms, certifications, and training programs (especially for freshers). Global exposure – Opportunities to work with international clients and global delivery teams. Structured processes – Well-defined policies, documentation, and governance. Work-life balance (project dependent) – Many teams offer reasonable working hours. Employee benefits – Health insurance, paid leaves, and wellness initiatives. Safe and inclusive workplace – Strong focus on ethics, compliance, and diversity.

Cons

Salary growth can be slow – Compensation increments may be lower compared to market standards. Limited flexibility in role changes – Internal mobility and project switches can take time. Bureaucratic processes – Decision-making can be slow due to multiple approval layers. Project allocation delays – Bench time and delayed onboarding to projects can happen. Variable learning exposure – Skill growth depends heavily on the project assigned. Less innovation in some teams – Certain projects may use legacy technologies. Onsite opportunities are limited – Compared to earlier years, onsite roles are fewer. Performance appraisal transparency – Rating systems may feel rigid or unclear.
