Pros

Zillow has a big and exciting dream of empowering the masses with information and tools so that they can make smarter real estate decisions. It is very innovative with Zillow's Zestimates of home values and new stuff like the Zillow Mortgage marketplace. These are exciting products that are also free, ubiased and good for the people. People here are intense and capable and fun to work with. The opportunity at Zillow is really big and it's exciting.

Cons

Sometimes we work at too frenetic a pace. Sometimes leadership changes direction on things more quickly than everyone would like, but I guess this is an advantage, too. You want to be able to respond quickly to changes in the marketplace. However, this does leave some people who worked hard on stuff a little disappointed sometimes.

Thank you for the feedback. I agree 100% that we are moving VERY fast and it is hard to keep track of it all! You're right that "Zillow Talks" are a great way to keep everyone on the same page, and yes we should probably be doing them even more often than we already are. Thanks!

Because most people work remote, sometimes it can be hard to meet immediately to chat.

Pros

You can make good money here.

Cons

In sales, job can change often. For example: I was making good money and excelling because I am a relationship Sales person. Then they changed it to where you get the sale, and instead of being able to grow that account via that relationship you just broke into, you have to pass it to an account manager and go back to cold/robo calling. You "book" of business you recive to prospect from is a lottery. I received a book of prospects/accounts that most of the were low income, or senior living properties. They don't have a budget and have a line of renter on a waitlist. No way to convince them to spend money on advertising but you still have the same quota.
