Pros

If you don’t get laid off you at least have a salary. You don’t need to try very hard because no one listens anyways and almost everyone has already given up trying to make positive change.

Cons

Toxic work environment where everyone is fearful of calling out the issues because it will be held against you. By far the worst leadership team I’ve seen from any company. Completely incompetent with no apparent strategy other than lay off your labor so the family can get paid. Morale amongst the employees has hit rock bottom. Everyone I talked to hates it and wants out. Manufacturing process is completely broken, nothing is ever on time or has major quality defects. No room for growth, flattened the entire company and eliminated leadership roles. I guess the current leadership didn’t want to be challenged by hard working younger talent so instead of building a future they decided to fire or lay off the future. But at least the old folks got a nice severance package. Leadership micromanages but has no clue how each industry functions and they don’t care to learn. Instead of laying off the young talent they should have fired all the VPs and up and promoted hard working employees. Refuses to hire to backfill key positions and will place all the work on the unlucky few who stay. They will then point the finger at you for not getting everything done while they sit in their cubicle and do some useless PowerPoint slide that doesn’t improve the company at all. Avoid this company at all costs

Pros

Passionate talented colleagues Hybrid work schedule depending on department and manager

Cons

The company operates without a clear corporate or divisional strategy. There is a lack of value for its employees they systematically push out long-term staff who have dedicated decades to the organization. Frequent layoffs are commonplace, primarily driven by stagnant sales and poor leadership. This has eroded confidence and significantly decreased morale over the past few years. There are very few people of color in leadership and internal DEI policies are not enforced. The organization tends to be reactive rather than proactive in addressing challenges and opportunities. Additionally, the benefits package leaves much to be desired. Be aware of the non-compete and associate's agreement. This southern company demands your loyalty. There is a noticeable lack of accountability among leadership, as they continue to prioritize the Milliken family’s (pulling the wool over their eyes) dividends over investing in the company, its people, and necessary resources. Instead of being led by experienced business leaders, the executive team is predominantly composed of management consultants who have gutted the company’s core values, structure, and culture. They have excessively streamlined, leading to substantial understaffing and overextended employees. This combination of ineffective leadership, poor investment in employees, and a focus on short-term financial gains creates a disheartening work environment. Milliken once had tremendous potential, but I doubt it will recover. What was once an industry titan is now on a path to extinction.

Pros

Great pay and benefits for area. Solid work life balance, relatively stable revenue streams. Great products, smart people.

Cons

Leadership is rapidly reshuffling and great people are being lost as they flatten the organization. There are no career paths due to M5 eliminating many roles, as such, expect for most folks to work here for 3 years then leave. HR and DEI have gone way too far. Fairly toxic company when it comes to raising ethical issues even though they champion as a "World's most ethical company"

Pros

8 hrs shifts with medical benefits

Cons

Poor to non existent communication, micro manage employees work hours, management has no interest in creating balance, the pay is left over from the late 80’s they still have job’s paying $14/hr. Love to hire the undocumented through temp agency and over work them, they won’t complain. Oh and your paid holidays will be worked. So the only fringe benefits is your health insurance very basic and you 401k if that still is considered a benefit.

Pros

Great people. Increasingly positive working relationship with leadership. Decent work environment. Consistent hours. No Layoffs.

Cons

Favoritism. Selective enforcement. Indecisive. Inconsistent policies. Quick to reference Corporate Policy, when no such policy exists. Prefers to operate within the "gray area". "Convenience" standardization. Reactive.
