"The culmination of our expanded Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) agenda, together with the advancements made in our disclosures, saw Metcash achieve its highest ever result under the Dow Jones Sustainability Index’s Corporate Sustainability Assessment (international Food and Staples Retailing). We did it! 🎉 Together with Greening Australia we reached our goal of 20,000 native Australian trees! It couldn't have happened without the support from our Metcash team, our local shoppers, our retailers and our incredible suppliers including Mars Wrigley, Mars, Frucor Suntory and PepsiCo. 🌱 These 20,000 trees will play a crucial role in restoring landscapes and recreating habitat for native animals, increasing biodiversity, improving water quality, and sequestering carbon. This is only the beginning... so watch this space!
