You’re agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.
You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team.
In this role, you'll:
- Safely and efficiently operate Heavy Rigid (HR) vehicles across road maintenance and project works in Hay, including the movement of HC trailers. Whilst an HC licence is not a mandatory requirement, candidates who already hold one or demonstrate a willingness to obtain one will be highly regarded.
- Undertake a broad range of routine and complex manual labouring tasks, including the use of small plant, powered and non-powered hand tools, working both independently and within a team.
- Identify and resolve routine issues using standard procedures, and work collaboratively with supervisors to escalate and manage more complex challenges.
- Contribute to team meetings, planning activities, and continuous improvement initiatives to help achieve operational goals.
- Work a roster of Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm, with a rostered day off every second Monday.
- Be available for overtime, travel, occasional work away from home, weekend work, and on-call duties as required.
- Work safely in high-speed, high-volume traffic environments.
This is a permanent, full-time position based in Hay. Applicants must live within a 100km driving distance of the Hay depot or be willing to relocate.
