IT Support Officer / Tester

In this role, you will plan and deliver testing activities across new and enhanced systems. Working closely with Business Analysts, Developers and key stakeholders, you will help ensure solutions are high quality, reliable and fit for purpose.

You will also responsible for maintaining an organisation’s computer systems, networks, and IT equipment. Ensure users can work efficiently by troubleshooting technical issues and providing support. Your work will play an important role in strengthening system quality and supporting continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Design and document test plans, test scenarios and test cases covering functional, integration, regression, end-to-end and user acceptance testing.
• Execute system and integration testing in collaboration with the development team, identifying, logging and triaging defects through to resolution.
• Lead and coordinate joint testing sessions with development and client teams, including UAT facilitation, defect review and sign-off.
• Validate data integrity across integrated systems, ensuring transactions flow correctly between WMS, ERP and third-party platforms.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for client stakeholders during analysis, build and testing phases.
• Communicate progress, risks and issues clearly to project managers, clients and internal delivery teams.
• Contribute to project estimates, scope discussions and change request assessments.
• Provide IT support to staff across systems, hardware and software
• Respond to urgent issues and assist with system outages
• Support onboarding/offboarding (user setup and access)

About you

• 2–4 years' experience in a Tester (or BA/QA) role on software delivery projects.
• Experience working with supply chain systems (e.g. WMS, ERP) and an understanding of core supply chain processes highly regarded.
• Hands on experience with ERP and ERP workflows.
• Ability to gather requirements from clients and translate them into clear functional specifications and user stories suitable for a development team.
• Testing experience across functional, integration, regression and user acceptance testing, including writing and executing structured test cases.
• Agile / Scrum delivery experience and relevant certifications
• Analytical and detail-oriented, with a structured approach to problem solving.
