Pros

None. The gym used to be, but they sold the building and down graded the gym.

Cons

Horrible leadership and even worse management. Absolutely terrible pay and raises/bonuses were cut even after large layoffs all to make room for expensive new leadership while completely forgetting about their loyal employees. They sell the unlimited PTO but good luck trying to get any time off. There is no work life balance (I worked on Thanksgiving) and while working from home is nice, the company did nothing to help employees transition until 4-5 months after working from home started leaving almost everyone on their own to try and set up suitable work areas. Hard work is put in only to be scrapped because leadership didn’t want to properly invest and completely pivot to a new idea with no data or plan. Then, that plan fails and their off to chase the next shiny object. I could go on, but I hope you get the picture.

Pros

- Decent pay and benefits (for Boise market) - Flexible WFH - Pretty good work/life balance

Cons

Truly terrible upper management was allowed to stay in place for over a year, despite constant reports to HR of sexism, disrespect, and incompetence. In the last year, I've seen two acquisitions, two layoff waves (of ~40 and ~75 people), and literal dozens of voluntary departures. New middle/upper management is hired every couple months, upon which we scrap the cumulative "vision" of the last collection of managers and start working on a new "vision." Meanwhile, longstanding systemic problems continue to compound, with fewer and fewer resources left to fix them. Long story short, this company has no future. Look elsewhere.

Many good actual workers, but toxic upper management

Pros

Benefits, flexible work from home options during the pandemic, some good middle managers if you get lucky

Cons

Poor pay with no opportunity for merit raises (I have gone the last 2 years as a top performer without a raise and even got a promotion in that time range). No communication, trust or transparency from the C level folks. If you're lucky, you'll see them once or twice a year after major layoffs for a pep talk only to spend the next couple quarters wondering if you're next. I'd only use this company as a temporary job until you find something better, I dodged layoffs for several years but most of my friends have not been that fortunate.

Pros

Great culture, motivated people, excellent benefits and meaningful work. Flexible work environment and good work/life balance.

Cons

Non-competitive pay, frequent re-organizations, title and compensation is not always updated for inflation or for taking on more responsibilities / new roles. No routine performance reviews or check ins.
