I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Diverse range of roles, and hence opportunities. Onus on the employee to make use of this
    - Bright people
    - Good compensation, though becoming less so relative to peers as time passes
    - Good benefits (additional leave; parental leave)

    Cons

    - Undergoing a period of transition and restructuring. Currently painful for employees
    - Years of negative press and reduced compensation (relative to peers) have impacted staff morale
    - High expectations for staff, in particular to work outside normal business hours. Impacts work-life balance

    Advice to Management

    - Take action on restructuring rapidly and move back to focus on growth

    "Hiding headcount doesnt help."

    Pros

Solid pay check. A few good people holding out. Perpetual promise on bonuses keeps us working. Good office facilities in most offices.

    Cons

Still not investing in growth. Investing too much in compliance who add little value. HIRE THROUGH THIRD PARTIES. IF YOU ARE OFFERED A ROLE MAKE SURE IT SAYS DEUTSCHE BANK ON CONTRACT.

    Advice to Management

Start investing in growth from the bottom up. We don't want to hear about all the great European hires and movement in roles being brought in on good terms when the client facing working class are getting less favorable terms put in front of them.

I worked at Deutsche Bank full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

My years at the bank has enabled me to progress from an entry level position to a senior manager, and has been a wonderful environment to learn and hone my skills in a number of areas. The folks there were a great and dedicated group of people that I really enjoyed working with.

    Cons

    - DB is currently going through a period of transition and restructuring
    - A lot of good people have left or been restructured leaving knowledge gaps

    Advice to Management

I had a very positive experience from managers.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

None that I can think of really other than that it is a job and it pays. I really can't think of anything positive to say!

    Cons

Vey bad work culture and depressive environment. No progression and no job satisfaction. No clear goals set out by management. Technology is old and getting things done is VERY SLOW

    Advice to Management

Terrible management across the board. Bad communication and no leadership.

I have been working at Deutsche Bank full-time

    Pros

Good exposure to markets and it is nice to have the work capacity of a global firm. I also found it easy to network with people in other cities. The pay is good if you work enough overtime hours.

    Cons

The hours are long and teams are never steady with the amount of temp employees hired and the high turn around rate. Upward mobility is seemingly impossible. The biggest issue is in upper management VP level and above who don't really kind of distract from daily work rather than ever providing helpful assistance.
