A breath of fresh air...

Pros

Even before joining the company, I felt a welcoming vibe from the people at MedGrocer from the start of my application. What I love most is the work culture—it's like a breath of fresh air, especially for those who are career-oriented yet value work-life balance. The tasks can be challenging for beginners, but the training and support ensure you stay on track until you get the hang of things. A great avenue for learning, methinks!!!

Cons

The salary is lower than I expected, but I understand that many factors are considered when determining an offer.

Pros

Coworkers make it a little tolerable

Cons

Unless you’re a graduate from one of the country’s top universities (the “green,” “blue,” or “maroon” schools), be prepared to start with a lower-than-average position and salary. Advancement is slow, and even after putting in significant effort over several months, salary increases typically range from only ₱500 to ₱1,500. The higher-ups, especially the management team, appear to enjoy certain privileges—likely due to their strong rapport with the CEO. I worked in this company for nearly 3 years, got promoted ONCE, and right when I thought I was going to be promoted, they introduce my new boss - a FRESH GRADUATE FROM UP who was born in 2002.

Pros

- Opportunities to grow but comes with challenges - Provide bonuses and incentives for to performers - Workmates are fun to work with - You will learn by doing the actual work, collaborative, so this is good opportunities for fresh grads or those looking for challenges

Cons

- They will only provide increase once you take on a much bigger role - While there are bonuses provided, salary review can be improved, they have this big expectations to a role and when those expectations are not met the employee will be at blame - While they say that mistakes is ok, sometimes it does not feel that way

Pros

1. Flexi hours-ish if you are a specialist but your OT isnt paid. Even for Coordinators actually. 2. Free medicine every 3 months that are generic and only paracetamol, mefenamic, and other meds you dont really need can be bought 3. Cool office

Cons

1. Micromanage - They say for growth but if you dont align to their thought process, they will make you feel that you are wrong and should let them rant about it 2. High turn over rate - they expect you to know your job by first week and will say its okay to make mistakes but will make you suffer afterwards where you wont be able to recover from it 3. Weekly meetings that are usually nonsense - this is just their way to make you feel less and if they are in a bad mood, prepare to be scolded for a very small mistake that can be fixed 4. False claims - you will apply for a certain position and once you get a job offer, its a different job title but they will say its the same and once you get in, you'll know that its not the same and they will lowball you and say it is based on performance? 5. Salary Increase - it takes an arm and a leg for you to get a salary increase, you have to prove how 'hardworking' and 'deserving' you are to the point where you are already sick yet you still report to work for you to qualify for an increase or a promotion. Only the higher ups get the benefits, lower positions are overworked and underpaid

Toxic workplace environment

Pros

- Competitive salary for fresh graduates - Onsite but possibility of approved WFH

Cons

- Beware of how good this company seems. They seem progressive by hiring a lot of young people, but the work environment is very toxic. It doesn't help that it's an open office setup. - The workload is HEAVY. A lot of employees have to do overtime, which brings me to the next point... - No overtime pay. Wow. - Most importantly, and the worst of all, is the MICROMANAGEMENT. There are too many meetings that are just made to micromanage you and take up hours of your time, which affects the time you should be using for your actual work. This is why working lunches and constant overtime became the norm here.
